Connecticut Band In the Red is Rising in Stock
Writer: Chris Low
Wallingford, CT- Posidemic Entertainment’s anniversary show packed Cherry Street Station’s outdoor stage with a host of talented metal bands from all corners of New England. In the midst of these technical and heavy acts, In The Red delivered a tight and very palatable performance. The band has been playing shows across New England in support of their new single “Blink of an Eye,” which takes the heavy topic of accidental death and blends clean vocals with an immensely catchy guitar riffs and melody that was made for radio. “Blink of an Eye” contrasts the vibe of the band’s first single “Weighing Down” which is full of heavy riffs and displays nu metal influences such as Disturbed and early Staind. In The Red worked with Staind’s producer Jeff Gilmer to record their most recent album “From The Bottom”In The Red has been featured on Radio 104.1 in Connecticut as well as PPRN and internet streaming site, Ultimate F’n radio. The talented quartet looks to continue to evolve as their newest recordings are to be produced by Cory Lowery of Dark New Day and Eye Empire. They are currently running an indigogo campaign to fund the project. For more details go to the Red formed in 2011 and has quickly risen to become one of Connecticut’s premier rock acts. The band offers a modern infusion of post- grunge, nu metal and radio friendly hard rock. The band’s sound allows them to win over fans of different genres and play with a variety of national acts such as Candlebox, Halestorm, Sevendust, and most recently Days of the New.They will continue to impress and make themselves more than worth the price of admission as they open for industrial rock veterans Powerman 5000 at the Webster Theater in Hartford on August 15.
